ABOUT BWS

Boston Waterbus Services, Inc., certified WBE/DBE, is a marine transportation and support service company founded in 1986. We have worked on jobs as diversified as:

  • Transporting small salmon (smolts) in the aquaculture industry to transporting all of the explosives for Boston’s Third Harbor Tunnel project.
  • Providing a stable platform for marine test borings to servicing offshore drilling rigs.
  • Our boats have been used as research vessels, bridge inspection platforms, dive platforms, personnel carriers, etc.
  • We have transported everything from potable water for foreign ships to port-a-potties and their service vehicles to harbor islands.
  • Our boats have been used to lay telephone cables, electric cables and water lines.
  • BWS has proudly sponsored the Hull Lifesaving Museum, Maritime Apprentice Program since 2007
  • We have sponsored teams in the Lexington - Bedford Youth Hockey League since 2005 -- including two teams that went to the 2009 CanAm tournament in Lake Placid, NY where the Peewee 2's won SILVER and Peewee 1's came home with GOLD.
